January was rescued from a neighborhood in Philadelphia. She had already had numerous litters of kittens and none of the kittens survived. The kind woman who rescued January thought that a neighbor may have been harming the kittens and was concerned for January's safety as well.

January is a very sweet girl who is still playful but likes the quiet life for the most part. She's more of a hang out with you or next to you cat than a lap cat but loves the company and doesn't mind being picked up and pet. She could be paired with another mellow personality cat or would probably be fine by herself as long as she had plenty of human company.

She has tested negative for feline AIDS and Leukemia and has been vaccinated and spayed.
